Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce holds
regular FREE CPD accredited Domestic Abuse
Workplace Champion sessions to train staff to spot
the signs of someone suffering domestic abuse
and to signpost them to support and advice.
Domestic abuse is estimated to cost the economy
£66 billion a year. Domestic abuse can cause
employees to be distracted at work, arrive late,
leave early or miss work altogether. The workplace
can also only be the safe place many victims
have and it is important that businesses are well
equipped to support them.
Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce is working
with the Staffordshire Police, Crime and Fire
Commissioner to support businesses across the
region by offering free Domestic Abuse Workplace
Champions training.
These Champions will get training to help to spot
the signs of domestic abuse in the workplace and
act as a con昀椀dential and supportive 昀椀gure, being
able to signpost to help and advice.
We have now trained over 250 Workplace
Champions in over 100 companies across
Staffordshire and it is having a big impact into
the health and wellbeing of their staff.
